Blogging in Education
When thinking about teaching in the elementary grades, I think that doing a project like Mrs. D's 4th Grade Class!" would be amazing. Using a blog for creating a classroom community is what interestes me most. Children learn in many different ways and blogging would give each child the opportunity to examine those ways. In an elementary classroom as children are beginning to strengthen their writing skills, peer review would be an excellent way for children to first of all connect in a community, but also strengthen their feedback skills and communication skills also. Blogging kind of gives each student an even playing field and the opportunity to have an individual experience taylored to their style of learning.

You are one of the few that mentioned Mrs. D's 4th Grade blog. She know to do Powerpoint, but could never get it onto the Internet for people to see. By uploading it to Google Presentation and Sharing, it was accomplished in such a short period of time. Glad you found it useful and is giving you ideas to consider.
